Electrical Engineering Project Manager

The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and executing data center projects in alignment with company strategy, core values, and project commitments on a national scale. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of customer acquisition and maintaining strong relationships with Owners, General Contractors, Vendors, and Subcontractors.

Electrical Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Develop comprehensive project scope, goals, and deliverables.

• Create detailed project plans encompassing timelines, tasks, resources, and budget.

• Assemble and guide project staff while providing clear direction.

• Negotiate and resolve issues related to Change Orders, Requests for Information, and Contract Scope of Work promptly.

• Lead the planning and implementation phases of the project.

• Effectively manage project budgets and actively participate in monthly review meetings.

• Track and report project performance to all stakeholders.

• Proactively identify and address project risks, offering timely solutions.

• Foster positive relationships with architects, engineers, and general contractors, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term relations.

• Conduct site walks for quality assurance and project reviews.

• Perform project evaluations, assessing results for improvement opportunities.

• Manage all closeout procedures, including documentation, record drawings, construction cost database input, follow-up marketing, and team debriefing.

• Drive division profitability through the effective execution of projects.

  
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field

• Professional licensure (PE, NCARB, RA)

• Prior experience with data center design and/or construction required 

• Examples of design and/or construction of acceptable non-data center projects:

• Healthcare (hospitals)

• Large commercial (highrise)

• Laboratory

• Manufacturing Facilities (fabs, etc)

• High Power (power plants, etc) 

• 10+ years of experience in design and/or construction project management

• Strong understanding of construction principles and practices

• Experience managing and coordinating between teams

• Experience in the preparation of project plans, specifications
