About the Role
Requirements
The Electrical Engineer will oversee the design electrical system upgrades and retrofits. This role involves building matrixed design teams from Apex's internal and external design services partners, facilitating the creation of shared execution plans, and overseeing external design teams in support of construction activities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mission-critical design and construction, as well as new product development and insertion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Identify, strategize, plan, and prioritize objectives with stakeholders. Estimate task durations, ensure schedules and dependencies align with objectives.
- Progress Monitoring: Communicate progress and risks effectively. Propose and align stakeholders on mitigation plans.
- Metrics and Improvement: Measure and publish program/process metrics to drive consensus and decision-making. Implement continuous process improvements.
- Best Practices Application: Leverage and apply best practices from other Apex processes and technologies.
- Technical and Business Program Management: Implement technical and business programs/processes in medium to large work groups, driving solutions to address program needs.
- Program Communication: Design and deliver optimized communication plans, including executive and key partner communications.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective technical communication and presentations.
- Planning and Management: Advanced planning and communication management skills, with the ability to apply these in challenging situations.
Skills and Requirements:
Education:Â Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience (Master's Degree and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred).
Experience:Â Minimum 10 years in Electrical Engineering.
Technical Proficiency:Â Expertise in power distribution and backup power systems, thorough understanding of electrical engineering principles, practices, and related technical areas.
Construction Knowledge:Â Knowledge of industry construction methods and techniques.
