The Change Management Technical Program Manager
Requirements
The Change Management Technical Program Manager is responsible for partnering with Product, Design, Construction, and Operational Data Center Teams to manage changes for in-flight operational, design and construction projects. This role enables site teams to effectively execute and track changes across the program.
Role Description
Partner with Product, Design, Construction, Operational, and other Data Center Teams to identify and manage changes to in-flight operational, design, and construction projects.
Collaborate with the Change Management team to develop and implement change management plans that ensure changes are implemented in a timely and efficient manner.
Analyze and communicate changes to affected stakeholders and ensure awareness of the impact utilizing Bulletins or other communication methods.
Track status of changes and report progress on a project, regional, and global level.
Define, organize, and manage the activities that lead to the outcomes of the change; what, who, when, and how.
Ensure a consistent process, quality, and execution in documentation and communication of changes.
Proactively identify stakeholders regarding change considering end-to-end processes across a large organization. Work with stakeholders to plan, prioritize objectives and success criteria, define business requirements, estimate task durations, and ensure schedules and dependencies are aligned and support change management objectives.
Align stakeholders on decisions and support changing circumstances.
Sustain a “Continuous Improvement” approach including ability to solicit feedback, identify and present process improvements and change management ideas.
Identify and apply relevant best practices from other Google processes and technologies and industry standards for the Change Management Program.
Collaborate with the Change Management team on alignment on the integration of the timelines, goals, and deliverables of related projects and teams.
Manage escalations and unblock constraints and dependencies.
Demonstrate advanced communication management skills, including writing and presentations. Represent the programs from business, product, and technical perspectives.
Demonstrate technical knowledge to the degree required and be comfortable working with Technical Leaders, engineers and construction methodologies.
Independently work to support change roadmaps, implementing plans for programs including impact analysis.
Proactively support programs requiring change management, monitor progress of change management rollout, and resolve misalignments.
Ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, sending calendar updates, assisting with expense reports, etc.
Identify and collaborate with the Change Management team on future program enhancements as needed.
Minimum Qualifications and experience
Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, project management, or experience equal to such.
Minimum 5 years of change management on major projects and programs.
Demonstrated skills in construction documentation to guide management of change communications
Proven record of successfully implementing processes and procedures on major projects or programs, preferably in support of mission critical or critical infrastructure.
Proficiency in reporting systems and communication tools as related to design & engineering change is ideal.
Excellent communication skills across multi-discipline / cross-functional stakeholders including executive management.

Preferred Qualifications and experience
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
Professional design or construction licensure, such as PE (Professional Engineer), P.Eng. (Professional Engineer), RA (Registered Architect), or CCM (Certified Construction Manager)
Professional design experience in consulting or technology
Familiarity with codes, specification and standards
